LG’s
latest smartphone has been announced, the Optimus G. It will be the first LTE
phone to run a quad-core CPU, the Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 with an Adreno 320
GPU. This will be one fast phone, even though it will start out only running
Android 4.0 ICS instead of Jelly Bean (an OTA update will be forthcoming).
The
amazing hardware specs continue:

The
phone looks pretty amazing and will be available in Korea next month. It’s also
promised to be available worldwide sometime later this year. It will be
interesting to see how it compares to the Galaxy S III and iPhone 5 in speed
tests.
